The Sussex seamer will now link up with England this weekend, ahead of the Test match against Ireland at Lord’s that starts on June 1.
Robinson pulled up in Sussex’s County Championship clash with Glamorgan at Hove on Saturday, before being sent for tests on Monday.
The 29-year-old has avoided any serious injury, however, boosting an England squad already missing Jofra Archer for the summer due to continued elbow trouble.
Nottinghamshire’s Olly Stone is nursing a hamstring problem, too, while James Anderson was named in England’s 15-man squad despite a recent, mild groin strain.
Robinson’s fitness will boost an England side gearing up for the Ashes summer, especially after his recent career-best match figures of 14 for 117 against Worcestershire this month.
Robinson worked through an eight-over spell on Saturday at Hove but did not return to the field after lunch, with Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace later revealing the ankle complaint.
